Hello hello,
Don't be afraid because of the title, all I want to do is take this time to remind my members of a few things...
STAFF
I recruited and hired you to help keep this group active as myself and Lorelai have already anticipated that we will not be able to be on as much as we please. Although with that being said, I have been on everyday for most of the day, Lorelai works so it is a little harder for her to do that, and I have taken up responsibility of babysitting our niece every morning, I understand we alllllll have lives outside of the game, of course we do! That's why I hired staff (so they may help each other).
High Councils, realize you may also recruit, start mini-plots, even allow a death, etc. You have just about as much say-so as myself and Lorelai, the only thing(s) you are not allowed to do is...
- Ban/Kick members
- Start HUGE plots, this includes any change of status that involves the entire group (disease spread, war, alliances, rivalry, visions, etc)
- Death of a staff member
You my do these things with mine or Lorelai's permission FIRST.
To my other staff members that are not Admins (High Council), it is up to you to encourage our members to keep coming on and striving to RP, without RP, this group will not move forward in the many plots we have set up and our members will not get ranked up (because they do not continue to come online).
Most of you other staffers (MODS), are 'teachers' or leaders of a unit - please... train with your members when they are promoted to sub-teir, and seek out those who want to be placed in your unit! We want our members to actually learn the 'tricks-of-the-trade' and experience their adventures.
To better understand your roles, put it in 'Warrior Cat' terms...
You MODs are like Deputies and warriors with an apprentice, alas instead of having one apprentice... you have many (a unit). Being deputies though, means your 'warriors' look to you for the next move.
To my Sub-Teir ranks and Low-Teir... Our members.
You guys are the body of this group, if you're not active or don't try, you are correct - this group will grow dull and boring. There may not be a whole ton to RP about... if your mind works that way. Don't be afraid to start a little something - you have so many options!
You are expected to be online and active, simple, I have already kicked people. You will not get promoted for coming online once every two weeks without doing so much as attempting to jump into or start a random RP session. The only way you will be promoted from Low-Teir to Sub-Teir is if you are active for a week, and show promise. Let me give you some ideas/good-to-knows...
- When you are accepted into the group, you have a chance to rank up to Sub-Teir within' the next week... OR... if you do not show your knowledge of the class you so desire, you could be placed under Apprentice, this does not matter of your age. So, if you decide to sit about, stare at some blades of grass, how are our High-Teir members going to know what class to place you under or to help you achieve your desired rank? They might just think you need to learn a little more.
- Scarlet Walkers are named such for a reason, we do not choose to fight or form alliances, thus making territory claiming a no-go. Alas, who said it was a rule to agree with it? Perhaps your character finds that moving place to place sucks ass, and decides to stand up against someone because of it? Oohhh... - see? Possibilities. (Alas don't expect your higher ranked to be totally cool with it ICly... )
- Having some knowledge/realizing our lore helps to develope your character for RPing. Upon reading our wix, you should know that those born into The Scarlet Walkers, will have a streak of stained red on their foreheads. You will also know that we do not territory claim, have rivals, or ally with anyone. There is one thing that is not blaintly in your face, though, as this group is nearly a year old, did you not wonder what or who killed the past leaders? Orphaned Tiffling in the group? Maybe you should ask around... get involved (though not everyone knows the truth or even knows themselves).
- You will train! Those who rank up to Sub-Teir will eventually be assigned an apprentice to train under them, for you have demonstraited that you are one of the best at what you do. This could lead to a High-Teir promotion, high respect within' our ranks, recognition, and overall great honor. If you do not train, or train your apprentice... then these opportunities will dwindle. So if you wish to be known, promoted, or gain high status or some high honor, keep up with your 'to-do' list.
We do recognize everyone within' this group, not only do we RP... or are we super strict about things, but quite honestly our group has become a circle of friends. Most staff do not come on because they have to, but because we've gotten pretty close and wouldn't mind spending time with each other. We may not RP 24/7, but we do keep each other company.
This is just a reminder to everyone that activity AND cooperation is seriously important, without them, we simply will not stand out against all of the other groups (in which I know damn well aren't as original). Let us show you how original and exciting the RP can be, let's start with our 'body' group being uber active, and staff members... don't think I won't replace you, I have already replaced two, working on a third.
I hope this reminder finds you all well - this... very very long reminder. Ta-ta!!
